I am writing to reach out to the members of the Skyline Ridge Estates neighborhood.

The Skyline Ridge Estates Water Supply Corporation is a volunteer board tasked with supplying water services to the neighborhood and overseeing the function and maintenance of that delivery system (our neighborhood well.) Along with PGMS (the company we have hired for the well maintenance, operations, and billing) we ensure compliance with regulations and laws outlined by the state of Texas as well as federal regulations.

Many of us on this board have served for more than three years; some much longer. The board is asking for new members from the neighborhood, as a number of the board are seeking to cycle off.

The oversight responsibilities are not complex. No prior experience is required. The procedures and duties of the board members are established and are not difficult to execute. Fortunately, the challenges of maintaining our neighborhood well have been few in recent years. However, as a member of the neighborhood and as consumer of our well water, it is in all our interests to understand to the maintenance and consumption issues that accompany well ownership.

Currently, our water is the best quality available, the finances are sound, and our relationship with the Hays Trinity Ground Water Conservation District continues to be strong as water demands in the area continue to increase. An additional option, should we fail to obtain new board members, may be to seek a buyer for SREWSC.

So please consider becoming a water board member.
